Watched The Ugly Truth at the weekend. Surprisingly funny. Also saw The Bourne Identity as OH had never seen it and The Swedish and orginial version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The Swedish version was AMAZING! Loved the whole trilogy

Went to see I Give It A Year. Let's say it was ok, which is more than I was expecting.

And as for The Millenium trilogy, the Swedish films are really good, the Hollywood makeover was not even close.

We won tickets some time back to see this with a Q & A with Juliette Binoche and the director. I agree that she is marvellous. Very odd film but I think we almost liked it -- it certainly provoked a good deal of discussion because we were both unsure what had happened.

She could be reading the phonebook and it would be charming. I was lucky enough to meet her when she was in "Naked" in the west end and she was incredibly sweet and oh so pretty. What was the director like ? Were there any clues about the ending?

I watched A Dangerous Method. On a psychological level very interesting but I certainly hope that Freud wasn't this cunning and manipulative in real life. I wasn't expecting Keira Knightley to go for a role like this but she gives it a good bash though I do fret for her painful boniness especially with those skeleton-crushing corsets.

Did anyone have a chance to watch 'Utopia' on channel 4 because I missed it want to know if it was any good?

Now you've got me -- did I see the director? I think so but my memory is so poor I can't remember anything about him. But I do remember seeing William Shimell (who played the other lead). Someone asked him which actors he liked and for some reason he said "the guy who stars in The Mentalist" which would be Simon Baker. Seemed an odd choice to most everyone in the audience.

I've Loved You So Long / Il y a longtemps que je t'aime. I thought this was brilliant. Kristen Scott Thomas was as classy as ever and the other lead really reminded me of Maggie Gyllenhaal. A difficult subject handled exquisitely.

You've got excellent taste. I loved this film too. I'm a big Kristen Scott Thomas fan -- what can't she do?
