I went to a preview screening of Twilight New Moon and they removed my friend's laptop and even our ipods!

Well the times they have done it, they've taken my mobile off me even though it's ancient and the only type of pic it can take is one the size of our avatars here but at a lower resolution.

I had my mobile taken off me and it doesn't even have a camera!!! (I hasten to add it was my no frills work phone) I asked the HUGE bouncer type guy why he'd take it and he said in case I call someone and let them listen to it.

I was stunned at first and then fell about laughing and had to be dragged away by my very embarrassed husband.

The film was Lions for Lambs. Why anyone would want to listen to such a dire film is beyond me when I had trouble sitting all the way through without falling asleep

laptops?!

They've take mobiles off us before in the normal time frame, although I can't see pics or recordings of a 3D screening being much use.
I seem to remember they took so long checking ID and mobiles were switched off etc at the Bruno screening it started about 45 minutes late and it was only about 75% full despite there being a huge queue. After I found out they turned loads of people away as it was so late and needed to get the film started.

Oh, and someone stood at the back in night vision glasses to check no-one turned their phone back on. That really tickled me.

I've been watched thru infrared binoculars once, it was all very high security, full bag search, serious talk on copyright beforehand, security guards and a armoured van to whisk the film reel away immediately after the screening. What film could prompt such measures I hear you ask ????...................Wildchild

Can i just ask for people going to the sheffield screening what times do your tickets say?
Mine says 6:30 for a 7:50 start
Surely this can't be right?

that's odd, mine for sheffield says 7 for 8 pm  edit: ah I see the reminder email (which came today for some reason) says the 6:30 for 7:50pm

I was under the impression that mattgad's post was for another location, he said he missed out on sheffield tickets.
