Re: Django Unchained
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: Django Unchained
Saw this last night. Really enjoyed it even if some of it was predictable. Good performances from a great cast. Tarantino does it again! 8/10.

Re: Django Unchained
I'd go as far to say this is my favourite Tarantino film yet. It feels much more mature and accomplished than previous efforts and Christophe Waltz is just stunning here.
The fact that QT is able to make a film about one of the darkest periods of American history in the style of a Spaghetti Western and make it powerful and humorous and touching really hammers home just how skilled and measured he can be.

Re: Django Unchained
Not a big fan of Tarantino' self indulgent direction (bad cuts and very questionable cameo), but what he gave us here is pure entertainment (a la Tarantino).
Very well written characters, witty lines, goofy violence, insane soundtrack and above all great performances
I can't have enough of Christoph Waltz and I am still baffled his nominations are for best actor in a supporting role; the title may well be "Django", but the lead here is definitely Dr King Shultz
and when he dies, the film kind of dies with him
9/10

Re: Django Unchained
Loved it, completely whackadoodle and stylish. It was a long movie though at 2hrs 45, I thought Django was a great character and well played by Mr Foxx. Waltz was wonderful as per usual and I though DiCaprio was a good baddie with a twinkle in his eye. 8/10
Re: Django Unchained
I think i' ve seen all of Tarantinos films and love most of them but this one was probably the first one i left with a huge grin on my face. it had everything and i can't wait to see it again... hopefully with some more leg room, it's lengthy but went quite quickly, sign of time well spent for me.

Re: Django Unchained
Loved this a lot. Great action, excellent performances and a cracking soundtrack. Yes it's endless film references make it as indulgent as Tarantino's earlier films but it has an involving story too. It is little overlong as well but I think Tarantino gets away with it. Saying it's the best film so far of 2013 may not be saying much (though I have seen 21 new films in the cinema so far this year) but I expect it will be in my top 10 of the year come December.
