:D Seen tonight for the 2nd time . . . didn't seem as long this time round (not that I minded the 1st time round!)
In some ways it was even better the 2nd time and I'd a chance to judge Russell Crowe again . . . he seemed better at the 2nd watching (maybe leaving the 1st showing I was disappointed at his performance as he was definitely the weak link but on reflection, he's not that bad! o/ )
When will I go again?

I don't understand when people criticise Russell tbh. He'll never become a recording artiste but he has a fair enough voice and I could see him doing a stage musical. Admittedly, he isn't the strongest voice in the film but I didn't feel he did a bad job.

I finally had a chance to watch this and must say that it was brillant...

Great acting, great singing and great story. Although I did think it was a tad long

8/10
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Great film but did find russell crowe singing to be a bit cringy...

Young corsette is adorable! But don't really see the point in amanda seyfried. Usually quite like her in films but all the hype and she doesn't even do much.

Do love the film though :)

I've never been into les miserables before so didn't know what it was all about but went to see it to found out. I was expecting it to be quite boring but it was really good! My film of the year so far..

Yep some of the singing did taking getting use to. It was quite funny seeing Russel Crowe sing and didn't know Anna Hathaway could sing. Little Corsette was so cute, shame we didn't see more of her.
It was a quite an emotional and captivating film and really well put together. Would definitely recommend others to see it :)

Hi. watched this film with my 12yr old son and I thought that he would hate it as a typical boy that loves action and thriller movies, a movie like this was a gamble for me. He really liked it as did I....we both however thought it was VERY lengthy, but great story and good on the actors for using their singing voices, was quite impressive. A film that I would recommend to watch at least once :)

I know I'm very late to this but I only managed to see it last Saturday. Not a huge fan of musicals but I really liked this - it was bolstered by some fantastic performances and brilliant singing, with Hugh Jackman for me the outstanding star. It may be in need of an interval but broadly I was very impressed.

I was not impressed, however, with my local cinema, which for some stupid reason had the sound turned down really low so that the opening scene was NOWHERE NEAR as dramatic as it should have been! My mum went out and complained after 30 minutes and luckily they turned it up, but I sent Odeon Wimbledon a message about it anyway (since I'd seen a film in the same screen the week before and had had the same problem) and they're sending me free tickets!

Here's my review:

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.
