hottips wrote:Saw this at Greenwich Odeon - I think that this may have been where Blackmidnight was. The cinema was about 95% full. (They seem to have gotten into the habit at Greenwich of moving people up so that seats are left at the end - the side away from the entrance that is and then they do not it people to that side).

I was really disappointed with this film - I had been looking forward to it. It was too long and too slow. 5/10 .
LOL was it 95% full hottips? I swear I saw so many seats free in between. I was abit bored in between the film and started counting the empty seats and with all the one seaters left in between it looked like 80% full! Must be bad calculation from moi! :undecided:

Does blackmidnight not live in Liverpool? :|
I was in Greenwich and sitting in about 5 row and it is pretty full. My fd was a bit late and she told me several ppl are turnt away because staff said the screen is full.

On the right hand side of the 1 three rows, there are some kids keeping talking and making noise. There is a boys keep coming up and down several times!!! Really disturbing!!!!

oh, i thought he went into bank robbery because of the fact that they put him in jail the first time round for a really small amount that he stole. And this was kind of his vengeance but thinking about it, he didn't say that explicity.

Also when he wore his sunglasses and the tash and hat and kept peeping through the sunglasses, he reminded me so much of T-Bag from Prison Break which really put me off of him since I dislike T-Bag so much!!!!!!!!!!

Yes but he only said that once in a half sentence to press - would have been good to get a bit more background story about him but instead they concentrated on the shootouts!

I was sitting at the premier seats on the top (2nd from top) and there were several free seats in the middle from what I could see from the top and near where I was but just one seaters. Not loads of free seats together. I saw the boy who kept walking down....

My friend fell asleep in the movie because she was really bored. Lol.

I think they just turn ppl down for a wrong reason. They should say you are not allowed cos you are late!!!

I never thought I would say this but Johnnie Depp needs to get back to basics! I have always love that romantic streak he has and how intelligent he's always been choosing his characters, but this time he really needs a good shape up, repetitive, boring and definitely unchallenging!
And it hurts even more when I have to say that Christian Bale, who has always been a trouble for me to understand when he speaks, managed to use his silences and create a character that was hardly written on what I guess it's a mono-tone screenplay.
I don't consider this Michael Mann's production his best, far from Heat. And I still don't understad if by choice or by accident the film leaves the silver screen and steps into a television style that makes it hard to endure. A terrible let down.
Giovanni Ribisi and Billy Crudup "saving" the scene.

there's a bit of a difference of opinion from us, i was a bit bored so only give it 5.5/10 but boyf loved it so he gives it 8.5/10 but seeing as there's no democracy in the spanner household, i win again, so 5.5/10 from us. it didn't help that i was sat near some woman with quite possibly THE biggest bag of crisps in the world as it took her nearly all night to eat it judging by the very loud rustling going on. and was it just me or did the shoot-out in the log cabin & woods look really bizarre like it had been shot on a cheap camcorder or something? i dunno of it was just to do with the lighting or the fast moving camera but i thought it looked weird.
