Working through Simon Beckett's The Chemistry of Death. Easy read, so am glad there are three more books. Yup, love my crime :)

OK - so in the interest of research, I have just finished reading Fifty Shades of Filth (oops I mean Grey) and the question is: how are they going to make this into a film?

I too have just finished "Fifty Shades of Grey" and need to get this book out of the house before DD wants to read it but I'm too embarrassed to take it to the Charity shop . Good question though how are they going to film this? .

I was shocked, martadelas, as until I checked back I thought you'd been reading a book of Samuel Beckett's collected plays or similar!

I'm now well into The Bellweather Revivals and can see that being filmed, if it isn't already due to be. But after that it's back to some Norwegian Noir for light (?) relief as a book I ordered has arrived and I have to collect it soon.

Haha. I read Waiting for Godot years ago (required reading in school) and that was enough for me as far as Samuel. Simon Beckett is definitely more to my liking. Who/what are you up to as far as Norwegian Noir? Am fond of Scandinavian writers myself, always keen to discover someone new.

Oops, I meant Gone Girl. But I've also read C.A though it's been years. Reese Witherspoon has b*ght the rights to GG but, praise the film gods, won't be starring.

Haha, yes, definitely sticking with GG. I saw today RW b*ght rights to it and am with you on her not starring being a good thing. Emily Blunt and Michael Fassbender are rumoured for it ...

Went along to see/hear Gillian Flynn at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival last year - very accomplished lady, from a family of Just finished reading this, and saw that Gillian Flynn was talking about the script being near completion. Here are some other suggestions -

Definitely don't see Patricia Clarkson in it. Out of the suggested ones I'd go with Maggie Gyllenhaal - I think she could pull it off.

@martadelas: it's Anne Holt whom I've been reading lately, but you probably know her work and more about her than I do.

@Cortone: I used to love Gillian Flynn's books! Though I haven't heard of her, or of anything by her, for so long that she'd slipped off my radar.

Actually haven't read her. Am up to date with Camilla Lackberg, long finished with Larsson's Millenium, loved Mankell's Wallander (now thinking about starting his Linda Wallander series), have read some Karin Fossum and working through Jo Nesbo's Holt series. I recommend all if you haven't read :)
