I saw it at Greenwich last night as well.

Got delayed on the train and literally had to run 10 mins to get there at 6:29 and guy tried turning me away!!

Got in eventually right at front so got a stiff neck. :wall:

Totally agree with the others that it was noisy and was it me or was the sound pretty quiet. Gunshots V loud but talking was very quiet

Loved the bank scenes and shootout in the woods.

Overall thought it was not bad, bit disappointed and could have done with being 20 mins shorter.

Trouble is, never gonna have another Heat so I need to stop wishing for another one.

Collateral was also awesome but dont see why Michael Mann must insist on the whole film being filmed in HD now as well.

Understand it is more grainy/realistic etc - but what about some style and classy shots as well. Cant compare it with some beautiful shots of Photography in his previous films like Heat and Last of the Mohicans.

Yep i was at the Greenwich showing too! Those kids at the start of the Movie was distracting and every so often would hear laughter from their area.

Why do people come to watch a film to just talk and have fun? Was it me or was there knocking noises on the side near the exits every so often? I thought my hearing was going lol

Enjoyed the movie thoroughly! First time at the Greenwich Odeon which seemed quite nice (would have been easier to get to the Vue in the O2 tho.

Got my lil' bro tickets to see this @ Croydon last night and he seemed to enjoy it. Not sure if he is overly familiar with Michael Mann so probably had nothing to judge it against.

I was hoping to see it myself @ Haymarket today but my DD has a play-date at the same time!

I wanted to love this film.

In summary....it was far too long. Should have been cut by half an hour.

Main problem in Cardiff Odeon.......was that it was stifling hot, from the moment the film started..

Plenty of people going to the loo!!!!!.....of course this interrupted the enjoyment factor....

I love Johnny Depp.....is not his best film. But glad I went to see it.

A decade from now every film will be shot in digital.

This film should of had everything going for it - great crew, great cast and great subject but it sorely disappointed me. it failed to grip me for long periods and was definitely too long.

Having read many books about Purvis and John Dillinger and other Public Enemies, I expected the characters to jump out and grab me but it just did not happen.

Maybe this was one of those occasions where my expectations were just too high!

A 5/10 for me I afraid.

Saw this at the dreaded Odeon, Birmingham last night Same formula as everyone else, Security men checked all mobile phones were turned off. Screening was again in the underground screen. It filled up very quickly and at start of film was about 98% full. It was very hot in the screening and it took about 20 mins for the first group of 4 to walk out. Was disappointed with the film, all the same reasons as everyone else. Lots of people were in and out to the loo, and I started to lose interest in the film. 6/10

Well I loved it! Thought the story was good and easy to follow. I do agree though that some scenes could have been shorter. Really enjoyed all the shootouts and felt that the scenes were well shot. In regards to the slow pace of the movie, I think they were just trying to build up the momentum for the ending...it did pick up pace towards the end. Thought Johnny Depp was great as always but would have liked to have known more about his character. Christian Bale didn't leave much of a lasting impression though. Loved the music and costumes! Overall: 8.5/10 (9/10 from my sister and 8/10 from me!).

I saw this at Islington (thanks once again to pow38 for the tickets). We got there at 6.20pm and were not asked for the page from the newspaper. The usher just looked at the ticket page and let us in. I had given her the online page with the ticket page so maybe she just assumed that was from the newspaper. So it looks like I was worried for no reason!

I was at Greenwich also. Agree that those pesky kids in the front row were annoying. I've never understood why you pick a cinema to have a full on conversation. And yeah, what was that knocking. It was as if somebody was stood outside the emergency exit knocking on the door every now and then.

As for the film, I thought it was poor. I'm a huge Michael Mann fan (ooh, that rhymes), I loved Heat & Collateral... this came nowhere near. I found myself looking in the Odeon magazine to find out how long the film is and how much more I have to endure.

4/10 - Too slow, made the film seem longer than it was

I saw this tonight at Cineworld Haymarket (thanks for the tickets Anakin), in a really bizarre basement screen, where the seats face a different direction to the screen. 8O

I agree with previous comments about the length of the film and that 'something' felt like it was missing. Overall I was a bit dissapointed as this could and should have been a really good film, but it dragged a bit and had some really silly parts. I found myself constantly looking at my watch to see how close it was to finishing. I'd have to give it 5/10.
I thought the parts where he a) walked straight down the street in full view of the police, and b) walked straight into the police station completely unchallenged, then right in to the office investigating him and asked them the baseball score without a hint of any of them recognising him (despite having investigated him for years and his picture all over the walls) were really daft. The only difference in his appearance was an oily moustache!!
