Absolutely no idea who was good and who was bad or indeed what actually really happened, but James McAvoy does look very lovely naked so it was a worthy film for that reason alone.

Just got back from Lee Valley, it was pretty disorganised this evening & subsequently we weren't let in until about 6:15pm but as the film (or at least the short) started pretty much on time it wasn't that big a deal (at least as far as I was concerned).

As for the film itself, well I really enjoyed it however I will admit that I'm expecting it to get mixed reviews as it certainly dipped it's toes into 'guilty pleasure' territory on more than one occasion.

I'm not going to go into any further detail regarding why I liked this flick as I appreciate that there's another preview screening around the corner but will just say that although I'm sorely tempted to give it an 8/10 I think I'm going to play it safe and give it a more conservative 7/10 instead...

Loved it. Stylish, slick, great story and had me jumping to different conclusions about a dozen times. James McAvoy's bottom was also quite delightful and Rosario Dawson is just stunning. Best film for an older audience I have seen this year by far. 9/10 for me.

Thought this was excellent.....even if I didn't always understand what was going on! Lots of twists and turns that kept you guessing. Maybe my only negative would be that there were too many twists. That said, I would highly recommend.

Much better than Welcome to the Punch.
There was a bit of everything, twists galore, gore, romance, action....
I would probably watch this again.

Back from an almost full Glasgow Braehead.

Personally I really liked this. Psychological thriller that had me guessing throughout and a nice wee work out to the brains. I think I managed to keep up with what was going on. Unlike OH who left feeling pretty confusing as to what was real or not. All the main characters were outstanding especially Rosario Dawson whose voice was spot on. Totally could go in a trance listening to her. 8/10

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

Back from Braehead having shared the back row with Yinster + OH, ploggit, teddybear1 and deb1 + OH. Moggers sat directly in front . . . I was very careful not to kick the chair! :p
I have to say I really enjoyed this film though at times the dreams and reality got blurred. Definitely a "thinking man/woman's" film. Not too characters to keep track of which is probably just as well! Acting was good from all and story was original which is unusual these days!

I totally agree! In fact, maybe we all watched the film in a trance!

I had a great time watching this - there's images in this film that are going to stick in my head for a very long time.

Here's my full review: http://www.londoncitynights.com/2013/03 ... boyle.html

I've kept it spoiler-free, I think it's best to know as little as you can about this going in.
