Zero Dark Thirty. Great acting. Very intense film, definitely not for the fainthearted.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Is anyone else struggling to understand what is going on in The Village on BBC1? As each episode comes it seems to be increasingly hard to interpret what is going on. Last night for example the woman reading the posted list of casualties then pulling a variety of facial expressions ranging from shock, horror to relief. No idea which was intended. Also the son seen trudging through mud which turns out to be the lane to the farm....then fading to silence through the credits. Was this a good outcome or a bad outcome? A euphamism? Who knows. And as for all the various characters in the big house...I can't fathom who is who. I'm losing the will to care.
I like a period drama such as this but this is becoming nonsense.

Watched the Syndicate last night. Great drama...Siobhan Finnernan is a class act...so versatile. Yes some of the stories in the series were maybe a little far fetched but....

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I gave up watching it as I kept on getting interrupted (my mother phoning me) each time it came on so lost the plot ages agostuartboy wrote:Guess that'll be just me then.stuartboy wrote:Is anyone else struggling to understand what is going on in The Village on BBC1? I too love a period drama and I don't feel as bad missing it if it's nonsense.
