Just wanted to say how nice it was to meet all of those that made it to FMUKCON last week. It was great to finally put a face to so many names and to share a love of films with some genuine movie enthusiasts.

A belated Thank you to PrettyxCool, Diane65, Jeanelle and Beate for all their hard work in organising such a fantastic event and to all of you for making my OH and our Baby feel very welcome amongst everyone.

Credit is certainly due to all those that travelled so far to join us including Diane65, Yogi, Steve and Steve9872 (to name just a few). I'm sure we will have to return the gesture at some point and join you up North for a future get together.

Hope to see you all soon at a future screening or at FMUKCON 2: The Return! o/

PS Thank you also to everyone who posted lovely comments about my little girl. She says Hi to you all.
So pleased that you enjoyed it and thanks for making the effort to come with your adorable little girl and lovely wife.

We are just waiting for the football fixtures for 2014 to be released so that Manchester City centre isn't mad busy and then we can sort out the date

Gosh that took its time getting to you and there are so many places to use it so more excuses for another trip.

Hi guys, My OH would like to join the family and I was wondering if he could use my account, or does he have to join again?

Might be a good idea if he had his own account, just to avoid confusion.

@Knight N - So pleased that you could make it. It was great to see you and your lovely family.

I think the biggest credit should go to andrews who travelled the furthest? Who knows their UK geography, can they correct me?

I would have thought that baty from Wales had the longest journey? I loved the way she came in and loudly exclaimed "I am bat(t)y!" I should have said "Aren't we all?" :giggle:

Btw, have finished my second World Book Night book (Me Before You) which was awesome. Thanks c_t!

Thanks Beate, thought, well jump in with both feet.

Oh dear, I feel I'm way behind on the book reading. Have not opened one yet. :(

Durham is over 250 miles away so Andrews had the furthest to travel and Baty had over 150 miles both ladies have plenty of stamina and I'm impressed that they are both up for the Manchester meet up. Us Mancunians did the 200 miles but as we were on the Virgin Pendolino it only takes just over the 2 hours so although further than South Wales I imagine its a much easier journey.

You put me to shame Beate on the reading front - I got a DVD from the meet up and its still in the wrapper. Flash Gordon will be watched as soon as I make the time.
