fck dat!
:p I swear I was actually thinking about midway that there hadn't been enough but then I did start to notice it a lot again. I like it, it shows it's a JJ Star Trek film.

Could be, I was sitting in the middle and didn't notice that at all.

I had a serious problem with that with Oz: the Great and powerful. I think basically what it comes down to is that 3D shouldn't be seen from the side. It just won't work. Shame to say but for the moment until technology improve its the case.

Captain Kirk is no Captain Picard. Having said that, I have to admit I loved this. And Chris Pine being much easier on the eyes than William Shatner may have had something to do with that. Or maybe it was just that the movie was pure fun. Loved the banter, loved the spot-on characters, and loved Benedict Cumberbatch as a baddie. All in all great mid-week entertainment.

Really liked the movie! Fun, beautiful, good action scenes... One thing I noticed - almost all characters with more than 30 secs of screen times are either human or human looking, would have liked to see more alien species in a sci fi movie.

You must have been right next to us! You weren't by chance the group of 3 that went out for a while and asked for a jacket to cover your seat were you?

Loved it once they sorted the focus out in Brum. Ruined first few mins. Its a shame that there were empty seats. It so annoys me when people don't cancel tix so others can attend!

I enjoyed this far more than I thought I would as a non-trekkie. A great follow-up to the 2009 film. 3D was so so but this was quite tongue in cheek with some excellent action sequences. I imagine a lot of the references to the TV series went over my head but it was still entertaining even if the one-liners felt a bit forced at times. Cumberbatch was a terrific baddie, such a great performance that I would not have expected of him. 8/10.

I didn't really expect much from this film as I've seen the previous one and didn't really like it, but was pleasantly surprised. We had the same problem in Birmingham with the first 5 minutes not really in 3D. We thought it was our glasses at first as we brought ours that we got from Odeon but I think a few people were moaning about the 3D, so it got fixed then. Overall, I thought the film was better than I expected with action straight from the beginning. I'd give it a 4/5.
