Cardiff was full and people got turned away, haven't seen that for a while. Little man and me sat in the front row, trying to lean back as much as possible to see the screen. Being so close some of the scenes looked a bit fuzzy, though great colours and GS loved the birds, mub & Grub and got a bit frightend by the baddies. Great potential but I felt it missed something.

Didn't see any of the regulars in Edinburgh today. Screen was only about 70% full which surprised me.

I quite enjoyed this, it was beautifully drawn and the colours were lovely.

The story was OK but the film was a wee bit long for the level of story.

I only recognised Chris O'Dowd.

Never got tix is why. Seemed to sell out very quickly and no more became available despite regular checks.

This little monkey requests more screenings of this please. (And maybe fewer Big Wedding screenings?!! Lol.)

Maybe it's because of it's similarities to 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' (a fantasy film that I rate quite highly) but it would seem that I enjoyed this movie more than most.

I thought this was darker, in a good way, than the average kids flick and visually it was at times breathtakingly good, the 3D used here for once actually had a positive impact and succeeded in adding a significant amount of depth.

In terms of length, I didn't think it outstayed it's welcome so although it wasn't a perfect movie by any means it still did enough to scrape an 8/10 from me o/ ...

Saw this film today at the O2, together with my bf and a couple of friends. Didn't manage to spot any FMUKers, though. :(

Our friends liked it a lot, but my bf and I thought that the film was just okay and not memorable. I especially liked the snail, the slug and the 3-legged dog. 6.5/10

I recognised Aziz Ansari (from Parks and Rec) and Beyonce's voices.

That's a shame as at least 30% (IF NOT MORE) seats were empty.

I didn't think 'Honey I Shrunk the Avatar Girl and She Met the Ferngully Borrowers' was too bad actually. Yes the story was highly derivative and pretty uninspired but I thought the animation was fairly strong. I got the impression that the script was originally more po-faced and serious before a studio head decided it needed more comedy sidekicks. As such it switched between the two styles in a slightly clumsy fashion. Having said that I thought Aziz Ansari and Chris O'Dowd's slug and snail and the three-legged pug were the most entertaining characters. Not Epic then but still watchable undemanding stuff.
