I really didn't think the Odeon Panton Street was that bad!! Ok it was a little on the small side, but I was expecting much worse!

They must have cleaned Panton St up. In one of the screens they seem to have the entrance to toilets directly inside and if there have been any 'incidents' in the toilet area then everyone will know about it in the screening. If the toilets are blocked or not very clean then the stench wafts through so sitting there for 2 hours is no fun! Not a good design.

Yes the toilets are still just off the screening room, I agree bad design as many people got up to go during the movie which was mildly distracting. But I guess there we no "incidents" that night!!

It certainly has! We went there on Thursday for a free screening of the Banksy film. In return we had to agree to being photographed during the screening for the new brochure. Hopefully, they won't use any images of us - there were plenty of younger, more photogenic people there :cross:

The foyer is still the same but the inside is almost unrecognisable. There is a bar right across the back wall of the screening room - the coffee is very nice and served in a proper cup and saucer. The seats in the back few rows and down the sides are like two-seater sofas and have side tables and footstools. The other seats are larger than the old ones and are very comfortable - with masses of legroom everywhere.

There is still not much of a slope but as there is much more distance between you and the person in front , it does not seem to be a problem.

Having avoided this place in the past, I will now be adding this to my list of preferred cinemas.

I'm sure there isn't a cinema as bad as Hastings odeon. Poor selection, rubbish staff, rubbish seats, rubbish screens and ridiculous prices.
Thank god there's a cineworld close by.
