Happy Ever Afters
Re: Happy Ever Afters
Just seen this at Kingston odeon. It made me chuckle a few times but overall not hugely impressed. Certain scenes were like a weird hybrid of mr bean and 4 weddings and a funeral. I'd give it 4/10.

Pleasant enough film for a Sunday morning, I didn't have any great expectations about the film but me and my daughter enjoyed it. As Sharkgirl says very predictable but as I've been doing loads of studying lately I was happy to not have to think too hard. 6/10

Re: Happy Ever Afters
Only about 40 people watched this at Odeon Greenwich today.
Very disappointing. Screwball comedy? "Bringing Up Baby" is screwball, this one wasn't. Waste of Sally Hawkins' time, no one had any chemistry with anyone, the characters were all annoying, and the two immigration officers weren't believable, as much as them NOT checking they actually went home and started living with each other wasn't.

Whiteleys for me. It was mildly amusing in places and that's me being kind. I'd never heard of any of the actors but it struck me that they were hoping for some sort of Hugh Grant type in the male lead. It did get me out of the house which is a good thing 4/10
Re: Happy Ever Afters
Truly awful. Unfunny, boring. Even for an Irish film, no amount of Irish charm save this pile of horse manure. Worst freebie this year (so far).

Re: Happy Ever Afters
It's abit like Four Weddings Ultra lite edition or any other wedding film but the plot much worse, the acting much worse etc.... Like other people's comment, it's enjoyable enough for a Sunday morning, but I must say the second half dragged abit, I kept thinking it was about to end. 4/10

Re: Happy Ever Afters
90% full in Edinburgh.
Different crowd, seemed to be largely 40+ I'd have said.
I liked it enough as something to pass the time on a Sunday morning, but it could have been something ITV put on for 1.5 hours as a one off drama rather than as a film.
Husband didn't like it and wishes he'd gone to see Old Dogs instead.
6/10 from me.

Re: Happy Ever Afters
Felt more like a film made for TV. Slapstick and silly in some places, dragged a bit and immigration storyline not very believable. 5/10
