Apart from the sky screenings I've never been asked for ID In Manchester and quite often I go in with tickets in a mans name. At the sky ones I go in sometimes using an alias, one that a_person has kindly given me when she gets tickets for me so I pretend it's my maiden name lol.

Yes, Whiteley's did a strict check today -- my first time there. There was also an employee standing near the door who thanked us when we left. Considering how awful the film was I thought we deserved it.

I have always been checked at Whiteleys, so no different for me today. Come to think of it, most screenings I have been to, I have been asked for ID - even at local cinemas, i.e Muswell Hill...may be I don't look honest! :tears:

I got tickets for Waiting for Godot and received an email with my own code which also said 'This offer is personal to you, please do not share' .................
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

And I NEVER receive any except on the morning of the actual screening and then they're only ancient codes. It's quite obvious to me that I'm their last resort and must be age-based, as I see one of our newest members, who is half my age, reported signing up and receiving a code almost by return...
