Arctic Monkeys / Alex Turner "Piledriver Waltz"
Flight Facilities Feat. Giselle "Crave you"
The Heavy "How You Like Me Now"
Kings of Leon "Milk"
Bruce Springsteen "I'm Going Down"
Kill it Kid "Run"
Dan Auerbach "I Want Some More"
The Black Keys "Howlin' For You"
The Strokes "Last Night"
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club "Beat The Devils Tattoo"
Old Crow Medicine Show "Wagon Wheel"
Rolling Stones "Play with Fire"

Some of my favorites at the moment... long list I know, but I just felt like I needed to share these awesome tunes with you :)

I love all of those songs! Especially The Heavy, The Strokes and Old Crow Medicine Show!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Yay! Always nice to meet someone with great taste! ;) It appears to be few and far between these days that tend to like the same music as me, so it makes me so happy to hear from someone that appreciates bands like these :) x

I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I had to google to find out what the heck an Aiwa is :D I blame it on the fact that I was brought up with vinyls ;) You guys make me feel so young!

Blue and Cream !! :D :D :D

I also had one of those multicoloured bags made by 'Head' it was considered cool for the older kids in those days to walk about with just the side pouch that used to unzip off :D and yes I had a stepped haircut too o/

Aiwa was a great brand , I wonder what happened to them ..?? my dream was to eventually own an Aiwa 'Stack System' , never happened though .. technology moved so fast that by the time I could afford it all the new smaller stuff started coming out

I LOVE the 80's the most too , 80's with a bit of 90's thrown in and set to a backdrop of 70's , GOLD !

P.S Welcome MissM o/ :)

I had an Aiwa Walkman!! (I've probs still got it somewhere!!) You can't beat the 80s for music. I like a bit of 90s, also 70s, some 60s.

o/ o/

I feel so nostalgic right now, i just did a google image search for Aiwa personal stereo and ive seen the one i used to have ! All this talk of 70's 80's and 90's , i feel like doing an all nighter and watching the original series of life on mars purely for the nostalgia ,

Anyone remember channel 4 in the mornings when before they 'started the programmes for the day' they used to screen this picture of a young girl with a puppet and a chalkboard ? if THAT doesnt take you back, i dont know what will !! :D

love nostalgia !

Well thank you for the warm welcome :)

As a 90's kid I have to admit that I more or less missed out on all these "technological dinosaurs" :D I love hearing about them though - you sometimes forget how fast time changes and how different the world used to be ;) I think my mum still has one of the first Macs stored in a box somewhere... amongst plenty of other sentimental things. I guess that's why music is so great - even though the technology changes the music from those times still lives on :D Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones... some things never age ;)
