Re: Sky's London bias
i have complained before about the lack of showings in Belfast the same way as steve has - belive me we get a hell of a lot less than everyone else including the like of showfilmfirst - so stop complaniing
but its an additional perk - not a guaranteed free ticket. not to mention anyone can book the tickets for the o2 in london......may not be handy for you but they arent specifically discluding you!

Re: Sky's London bias
You just have to accept that the capital gets more perks than other locations as there are more people and the Sky superscreen is huge, meaning they can get loads of people in one location by only p*ying one booking fee and I am guessing they are getting a deal good enough for them to put their name on the superscreen.
If it really really bugs you that much and it's the one thing that makes your life miserable then I suggest you move to London. Obviously you'll then have to contend with the fact that London is much more expensive to live in than anywhere else and the regular cinema prices are also much higher. It's only fair in my opinion that Londoners get a few more free screenings as they p*y through the nose for everything else.

Have to also remember that it is not just down to Sky where the screenings are but the promoters of the films also.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

edit: I don't live in London but far away in the land of Scots. Yeah, it's annoying to see that not every film comes locally but that's part of the fun . . . hoping for a preview and then the chase to get tickets!

If you really think London is that bad, you should agree with those of us living here getting more freebies as compensation.brum33 wrote: Lived in London once - ugly, dirty city full of obnoxious and arrogant people!

It would be good if Sky could run previews at more venues, there are some cities which do miss out - but you can't stop London from being the highest populated city in the UK!

And this is why you can't have nice things. There's zero reason to retort to name-calling.brum33 wrote:Lived in London once - ugly, dirty city full of obnoxious and arrogant people!
