Advice from londoners please
Not sure where to post this.
Son and gf coming to london next weekend.
Does anyone know which is the best site to b*y tickets for Jersey boys on. Tickets at the theatre direct seem to be much more expensive.
There are quite a few online sites and he is concerned they might not be legit. They have not been to london before and so are excited, but have told them it will cost them a fortune.!!
Think if they are going to go on the london eye or duck they should book before,
Any thought please?
Thanks

Re: Advice from londoners please
Jersey Boys is one of few shows that rarely have offers on unfortunately. Usually the best price you can get is straight from the box office. Sites such as lastminute.com do offer reasonably cheap seats but when you look at the price range on the official site you'll see they offer the same for the seats furthest away from the stage. The show can often be found at the TKTS booth for £39.50 instead of £65 for top price, but you can only b*y those seats on the day of the show (or sometimes one or two days before) and in person:

Booking in advance for any tourist attraction would be wise to save a lot of queuing time on the day. And you can sometimes find offers like 2-for-1 online with rail tickets or other touristy things.

If their travelling by train they could save some money on the attractions by signing up to http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/marjoreemarjora wrote:Not sure where to post this.

I was in london in february and saved a fortune!! Never managed to do any theatre shows though but was tipped off about the TKTs booth, seemingly they do good deals!
Edit: Oh my memory! How could I forget.....I seen one play, MacBeth @ Trafalgar Studios. Booked way before our journey though!

And do make sure you go to the proper tkts booth as there are a few booths trying to cash in on tourists - only ever go to the one in front of the Odeon West End or the one on the Canary Wharf platform.

Re: Advice from londoners please
The Trainline has theatre discounts, and also timeout and places like groupon and livingsocial. Occasionally amazon local as well. Once is enough for me for Jersey Boys, so I don't normally look for it, but they often have Wicked, which in my head at least is really popular, so who knows? They might have Jersey Boys too!

Also, if I am not mistaken, you can get a third off a River City Cruise by showing your train ticket to London.

Oh hang on, it's even better, it's 2 for 1:

I find these two sites are good as they seek to collect all the deals on offer:
