I really quite enjoyed it, not the best film ever but its a great script and really well acted. And Coppola has a talent for music as well, though some if it was anachronistic, but they also
didn't give it a timeframe specifically
, so fair enough.

Lifeless actors, very poor direction. Pathetic.

Acting was a bit hit and miss but I thought the direction was good and the soundtrack worked very well. 7/10.

I saw this last week at the Edinburgh Film Festival.

Agree the acting is a bit hit and miss.

The story is slightly strangely paced too. Ages on one bit then a hop skip and a jump through quite a lot...odd.

I enjoyed it though,.

This was OK as something fairly undemanding to fill a pre-matinee slot, but it was hard to sense that the film was any less shallow than the characters it depicted.

Saw this on Saturday in Brighton and really loved it! It's far from Sofia Coppola's best film, but the direction is still superb, and despite some really poor acting (the male lead was particularly wooden) Emma Watson put in a really good performance. 8/10

Saw it on Saturday and really enjoyed it. There is some dodgy acting from some of the lead cast, but it goes beyond that. It's a great look at the celebrity culture and how out of touch some of them are. Coppola seems to have regained part of her magic touch with this, it has shades of her work with The Virgin Suicides (Which is her bets ever work).
