Saw The Heat in the heat sponsored by Heat magazine. Film was lukewarm to hot. Reasonably funny rather than hilarious. Small tweaks here and there and it would have been a fantastic movie. Overdid it slightly with the swearing (and I loved Ted), and I felt it sometimes tried a bit too hard with the wisecracks.

Great feedback! Wasn't sure whether to see this one but after reading all the posts now can't wait!

When I saw Sandra Bullock was in this I didn't think I was going to enjoy it, not really rating many of her previous outings, but I knew my other half loved Miss Congeneality and so thought what the hell, I'll give it a go. And I'm really glad I did. I also saw this was a 15 and not the 12A that seems to get slapped on everything these days so I knew it would be aimed at adults and not teenagers. Slightly reminiscent of the Lethal Weapon films, but with nerdy women, there were plenty of great comedy moments on offer.

Don't get me wrong this was by no way a laugh a minute film, but when it was funny it did make me genuinely laugh out loud, (which is actually hard to do).
I loved the way it would make you laugh, make you feel bad for laughing, then instantly make you laugh again. And the film wasn't meant to be purely comedy anyway - there were plenty of emotional and serious moments in there too - which is what reminded me of Lethal Weapon.

My other half summed this film up in two words: "Unexpectedly funny".
I would use five and say "Unexpectedly, consistently and genuinely funny".

Well worth a watch 4/5

I think when you go to watch a cop comedy with the tag-line "Good cop. Mad cop." You know exactly what you're going to get and can probably already guess the plot and eventual outcome without even seeing the film.

Granted it may have been a bit predictable, but what matters in these kind of films is the vehicle that takes you on the journey to the predictable conclusion. Here, that was the comedy. And the comedy was genuinely laugh out loud funny which had the cinema in stitches. That's what carried the film for me.

Bring on the inevitable 'The Heat 2: Extra Hot'!

I saw this last night in Bradford and i am not a fan of Sandra Bullock. The film surprised me as i really enjoyed it. Like others who have commented, it is not hilarious but it had its moments. It is one of the better "free films" i have seen recently.

I saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Unlike most people here, I do like Sandra Bullock. The film reminded me a bit of the 80's action comedy films like Beverly Hills Cop. :D 8/10

Were you second in the queue?

Cinema wasn't too hot but I think as it was full the body heat from all those people made it hot.

Film was good. Funny in places but at times it drag. Why did everyone seem to die
by being shot in the head. Apart from the car bomb.
Also I am smiling cos I work out who Larkin was 7/10

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.
