Re: Football
I watched the penalties last night and actually felt a bit sorry for Lukaku, he was under a tremendous amount of pressure (as Cech hadn't managed to save any of the five previous penalties) & he wasn't able to handle it...but at least he put himself forward to take one so he gets kudos (from me at least) for doing that.
As for Torres, and speaking as an Arsenal fan, I don't want him anywhere near my club. He's lost so much (in terms of speed & natural ability) in the last few seasons that I actually cringe when I see him on a football pitch...

Re: Football
I firmly believe that Torres was what he was at Liverpool because of the support and the sheer brilliance of Steven Gerrard, now at Chelsea he's become a proper joke, but at arsenal he might have a chance to shine again as he would fit into the style of play at arsenal and he would be the main man there which would do a lot for his confidence, he's too over shadowed by other players at chelsea and just can't get going there , at arsenal I think it would be a more suited to both player and club especially the style of play and also the manager, however it's all a dream as arsenal just don't b*y the players they should, I'm an arsenal fan through and through and I just wish arsenal would spend some money!!!

Re: Football
I disagree. Torres would not be welcome in my hood.
I was gutted when he left Liverpool for Chelsea as I had learnt the words to 'he's half a girl, he's half a boy...' I was geared up for the next time he played against us for Liverpool and he buggered off to Chelsea.
Tomorrow should be an interesting afternoon in the Saver household, given our allegiances.
It would be funny if Arsenal is the 'secret' bidder for Bale.
And one thing that's annoying me is when is Van purse strings going to get injured? Surely it's time?

Re: Football
ARSENAL ARSENAL ARSENAL
Decided not to watch it, I can't watch footie on TV anyway, too stressful. However, succumbed and watched last 15 minutes... My heart's not as strong as it used to be. As OH said I would never have coped with the whole 90 minutes.
Well one of us is happy in the Saver household and it's all about ME ME ME.

Re: Football
Let's hope he does better than our last record signing, Arshavin!
Did you see the Beckhams in the posh seats? Thought his son, Romeo, looked so sweet he was so excited to be at his spiritual home!
