I have just received an email from SFF for free tickets to see Rod. It says invited guests only so have not posted it on Free Theatre/Concert thread.

I am new to this so hope you don't mind me jumping in. I think it's a Great idea :)
My next gig is Rod Stewart at The Hydro in Glasgow :) can't wait to see what it's like inside. Then I have Passenger & Stereophonics to look forward too.

I went to see KOL at Bellahoustoun Park a couple of months ago, they were brilliant :)

I've never joined the stand by queue. Judging by how long the queue was for Pixies, I can only imagine that, for Justin Timberlake, you have to be there pretty early to get in.

Ok. I arrived yesterday at the roundhouse about 10.30am (mad I know) and we were 17,18,19 in the que (they wrote numbers in our hands about 3pm to stop que jumping)
The lady said about 5%chance we would get in as tonight was gonna be very very busy
By about 4pm. Apparently the standby by que was about 1000 people mad. And at that time they started telling us it was doubtful we would get in :(. They told people numbered 50+ to go home. They definitely won't get in. But very few left them que

The day went quite quick considering we were freezing as sunshine was other side of road (somehow still all red today ?!) but once they started letting people in. That's when time dragged. So hard watching all those with tickets walk straight past us .
Omg. My heart was races. One minute we were getting in. Next minute they said 99.9% not getting in so be prepared then about 8.55(yes just before justin came on literally) they let about 40 of us in

Justin timberlake might be a pretty aweful actor. But fantastic performer!
Wow is all I can say. Justin was amazing. Totally worth the wait. So glad he sang mostly old songs I knew (cry me a river, señorita ,sexy back and many more). But wasn't very long1hour 10.
But amazing. So glad i qued and even happier we got in at the end.

Apparently for lady gaga. As she was opening night they had about 500 in the que. And everyone got in. Good to remember for next year :cross:
