i just got back from the screening and i was amazed it was such a good film. i thought some of the fight scenes were graphic for a 15 but it was in a comic style so was ok. there was secrurity telling you to turn phones and camcorders off. and checking girls bags. i also liked the tellten advert at the start id never seen that before but was good :D

Great Film, better than I expected, The fight scenes were graphic but some were so fast blink and you'd miss them! the comedy, tongue in cheek parts were just right, took the edge off which otherwise could have been seen as a very dark tale!

I know I'm going to be in a minority but what an awful film. How on earth did it get a 15 rating? at least the brilliant Girl With a Dragon Tattoo was an 18 but I found that violence tolerable whereas this I found more and more distasteful as time went on. Part of it that it's inherent in it's style and build-up kids under 15 are going to want to see and will manage it. Some kids tried to come in part way through but were stopped by the security guards, guards which won't be here when it's on general release.
I give it a few marks for the few laughs in the first half.

We went tonight and really enjoyed it and thought it was very funny in places.

I'm afraid I fall into the category that laugh at the distasteful and over the top violence - I went knowing what is what and took a light hearted approach to it.

It's not real, its a movie, I look at it from an entertainment point of view, rather than realism etc. and I was entertained.

9/10 from me for this one. Best of 2010 yet!

Whereabouts were you sat in Screen 1 Elski? I liked 'Kick-Ass', however I must admit that I was surprised myself that it got a '15' certificate, all I can think is that the lack of nudity worked in its favour (i.e. any scenes showing sex or sexually related acts).

i loved kick ass - but would think its higher than a 15 certificate

10 out of 10 for being something different
kill bill meets spy kids

a lot of violence and swearing more shocking as its from a supposed 11 year old.

We also loved it and on the way out were also saying what 2 films it was a cross between. Think we ended up with Reservoir Dogs meets The Incredibles.

Pure entertainment for me. 9/10

Saw this in very busy Edinburgh tonight with two security guards on the doors, but did not ask us re phones etc just stood at the front in their white shirts watching us all night.

Yes, was violent and lots of surprising swearing from an 11 year old but agree with Anteena 1 something different and lots of people were saying as they came out great film.

We really enjoyed it and of course we knew it was not "real". Hope all those folks who saw it dont try this out for themselves!

My boyfriend and I went to see this today and really enjoyed it. I wasn't shocked at seeing a kid swearing a lot, but maybe it's because in my home town people (even kids) swear a lot all the time. 8.5 / 10
