Hi,
I went to see my first free preview on Tuesday (Kick-Ass) and I've got tickets to 2 more. I was just wondering if all/most films do these free previews or is it just films that promoters think could do with a little more hype. For example, could we expect to see previews for a film like Iron Man 2?
Thanks in advance

Hello!
It really does depend! I've been to see films I've never heard of & films that have won Oscars! Also, some free films come to my local cinema, and others don't - so it's the luck of the draw!

Re: Question from a newbie
After I told a friend about this site recently, he quickly told his Twihard girlfriend. So I shall tell you what I told her when she asked if I could get tickets to the next Twilight film:
It's unwise to go about hoping for a particular film to have free previews. Sometimes it happens, and that's great (for instance, Kick-Ass was the film I was most looking forward to this year, so I was thrilled when I got tickets for it), but it's safer not getting your hopes up.
Usually it's films that would benefit from word of mouth, so mostly non-blockbusters, but the occasional one slips through. There's logic in having preview screenings for Kick-Ass, given that it's not yet a properly established franchise; the flip-side is you'd think that established franchises, let alone sequels, wouldn't have previews but Hellboy 2 got quite a few last year so you never know.
Anywho, it's best to regard it as a way of seeing great films you may not have seen otherwise. That way it's a pleasant surprise if/when you get tickets for a film you're really excited about :)
