London Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks

#1 Post by Rainey » Sat Nov 02, 2013 8:12 pm

Am hoping to take the children to one of the out door skating rinks in London in December (well as a Christmas :xmas: treat... saying that quietly as don't won't Beate to shut me down for talking about it too early :shifty: )

I know there are quite a few now, so was wondering if any London FMUKers could recommend if any are better than others, am also on the look out for discount codes if anyone has seen any! Was thinking of avoiding Winter Wonderland though as I know in recent years they have had trouble with crowd control, not to mention needing a mortgage to for the rides!

Would like to book soon as want to make sure I can get the day and time I want and also before my pockets run dry!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

I personally think the one at Somerset House always looks gorgeous! And the one at the Natural History Museum can be combined with a museum trip :) If you got (free) tickets to the Ideal Home Show at Christmas, they have quite a cheap rink, but it's inside.

Thanks, missed the IHS tickets this year, working full time is so inconvenient, I am missing all sorts!! lol However, I think I'd quite like to do an outdoor evening, it always looks so pretty.

I think there's one at Hyde Park with the wonderland.

I love the one at Somerset house. Beautiful setting. And doesn't get as packed as Hyde park
