Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Went to 'Editors' last night!
Fantastic show all though editors launched into there most famous (and best) song 'Smokers' 3rd song in, which was very disappointing, however they played a great mix of new and old songs, and they played an extended version of Pappilon in the encore which was a bonus.
The support band was 'British Sea Power' who put on a fantastic show, have been a fan and always will be a fan!

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Great night last night at children in need rocks
Highlights had to be kings of Leon who opened the show
Robbie Williams was a star as always.
Little mix, the wanted , dizzee rascal were all really good too and got the crown going
Have to say wasn't bothered when Barry manilow was named to perform but he was very good (despite the fact he has had so much plastic surgery his face doesn't move at all no matter what he is doing. Lmao) robbie and Gary Barlow came on to stage to sing could it be magic with him which was brilliant they were both doing a little bit of the take that routine to it.
Gary was also joined on stage by one of the ladies from abba(can't remember which one ) apparently she hasn't been on stage in over 20years and had lovely voice
Gareth Malone and his choir were not listed but turned up too and were quite good
Was quite funny when at the end Jeff Lynne came on stage (another not announced artist) and the guys standing behind us thought he was part of chase and save so started doing the rabbit rabbit rabbit song. Lmao
Brilliant night tho.

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
It was Agnetha Faltskog (the blonde one), they did a duet for her new album. In a documentary for the BBC he (Barlow) pleaded with her to perform it live with him. The look of horror on her face - he obviously persuaded her.claire wrote:Great night last night at children in need rocks

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
KT Tunstall at Theatre Royal Drury Lane with support from Billy Lockett was a fantastic evening last night. I've waited a long time to see KT Tunstall live and it was worth the wait. So effective creating loops of the beat, vocals etc and then singing over them whilst playing keyboard or guitar. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree transformed into Seven Nation Army and back again. Superb talent.

Over the weekend, I went to see Bellowhead, and it was fantastic 10/10
The best live band on the folk scene and the music scene all together!
