I actually like writing/sending Christmas cards so do send loads as I like remembering all my lovely friends and people who have been and some still are a part of my life. Oh my goodness just noticed the time so need to get back to work (just had a fifteen minute break  ) just another few hours to go then I'm finished until Friday :cheer:

My FIL is really fastidious about wrapping presents. Don't know why. He complained that one year my OH (we weren't married then) arrived on Christmas Day with just presents, no wrapping, and handed them to people. Personally, I didn't think that was bad. If he gone before Christmas Day and put unwrapped presents under the tree, then whinge, but it was Christmas Day, if he'd wrapped them, all he would have done was given them out to his family who would have unwrapped immediately. What's the point of that? IMO, cut out the middleman/wrapping, in this case.

My FIL wraps all the presents and puts them in a box and wraps that too. My SIL normally puts bows and stuff like that, but if OH finds them too fussy to fit into his bag/case to bring them back to me, he rips them off .

This year, I did what my FIL did, ie wrap up every individual present then put them in a box and wrap that too. Given there were nine of them and most of them had about 4 presents each, it took forever. I AM NEVER WASTING MY TIME DOING THAT AGAIN. I only did it this year for a competition (which I didn't win :().

The other year, for my MIL birthday, I got her a scarf from Jaeger, so it came in a pretty box (well black and white) from the shop, I put that in a jute bag (my thinking, she could use that again and again for shopping) and thought that would be fine. My FIL said 'shall I wrap it for you?'. I said 'No thanks'. I don't think he was happy.

Well tough titty really, IMO who gives a shite about wrapping, just give me the presents. In fact, personally, I'd rather have the money and b*y my own stuff in the sales. But whatever you do, DON'T b*y ME TAT, EXPENSIVE OR CHEAP. NO TAT. PIGGING HATE TAT.

Surely if you put presents in a box anyway, all you need to do is wrap that box?

That's what I think, but I went with the flow this year. Never again. I don't think I care enough.

I have finally wrapped everything. Feel a bit more Christmassy now. o/

One present didn't come, but it's the one for my mum that my dad asked for - and I really didn't think she wanted. He can have it as a New Year bonus.

Conversely, two presents I was told expressly would not arrive until Friday turned up today. Overall, that's a win, they're much better than the one UPS are currently sending around the world. o/
