Re: Christmas

#1491 Post by ejwrank » Tue Dec 24, 2013 8:43 pm

Christmas wishes from all of us too. Finally wrapped the presents, made quite a nice dinner tonight while rest of family was off at Picturehouse watching It's a Wonderful Life (Slackers freebie for son and daughter and reduced price for husband) and even put up some decorations on our bay and holly patio plants outside. I always leave the present wrapping until Xmas Eve and am always late doing my cards (only finished them yesterday) but they seem habits that seem impossible to change. I am amazed at this Xmas thread by those organised people who have their trees up, houses decorated, cards written and presents b*ght by 1 December -- I stand in awe! I seem only able to work to deadline which is 25 December.

My Mum just called me to wish me Merry Christmas and was most perturbed when I told her we hadn't opened a single present yet. It's not that I am suddenly turning English, I just haven't had the time yet, we've eaten (meatloaf, yummy) and watched TV and now I don't have the energy anymore. So I told her I'd do it tomorrow morning and call her then.

Yes it was -- but tickets booked before they realised. Anyway, it's better in the cinema.
