From the director Anne Fontaine comes Coco Before Chanel, the fascinating story of how a woman rose from humble beginnings to become a couture icon. Audrey Tautou plays Gabrielle Chanel, the young daughter of a travelling salesman, who learns to sew in a Catholic orphanage before following her singing ambition. This leads her to a cabaret club, where she earns the nickname Coco and catches the eye of several high-society gentlemen. Ambitious and passionate, she is ready to embark on a remarkable career.
