Do you mean Baryshnikov?
He isn't on imdb cast list and I was totally and :j surprised. I nearly jumped from my seat when he appeared, and so hoped it would be more of a role rather than just a cameo, even if pirouettes where out of the question  . Anything with him gets my vote, I even watched Sex and the City because of him!
The film was otherwise quite mediocre but still enjoyable

Whislt I would love to write a review, being a Jack Ryan fan in his Harrison Ford days, I unfortunately fell asleep ten minutes in and awoke to the disappointment of the final scenes. So the jury of Raj is still out on this one - fortunately I have kindly been given another ticket to Ryan, so full review to follow.

Advice would be not to follow a nightshift with an evening screening next day! But what I saw, I liked. Jumbo screen size was a bonus.

I am new to Jack Ryan so went with an open mind. This did remind me (as jayman said) of mission impossible and quite a few other films in the genre. I felt that I shouldn't think too hard about the plot and just go with the ride of this fast paced film, which is enjoyable
.
There were however some things which distracted me, beyond the plot, I too was caught up with ms Knightly's teeth, the blurred background as the camera panned across Moscow (admittedly I was sitting in the front), and of course the driving...

I do think it is so fast paced that time just flew by 7/10

The biggest distraction was the woman next to me who kept looking at her phone, My growls grew loader as she lit up the damn thing till growl linked with stare finally had the thing held to her chest at least!! Problem was it still a little blue light every time there was some 'activity'. Should have knocked her (accidentally) over the head with my crutch!

Saw this at a packed Vue Cramlington. Easy to watch and fairly enjoyable, although nothing outstanding.

No, I meant
Michael Starke
but I spotted
Baryshnikov too
and instantly smiled. Gorgeous and talented man that he is.

the most annoying thing about that is that Jack isn't supposed to be a James Bond superhero type. Harrison played him pretty much as a very intelligent guy who wasn't comfortable in the field and was unable to beat superior odds in hand to hand combat. This movie seems to acknowledge this but then blows that out of the water by turning him into James Bond during the action scenes.
The action sequences themselves are quite poorly done too, being largely closeup, God knows how bad this will be all wasted on IMAX.

I normally love this genre of film, so was rather disappointed with this, so much so I fell asleep a few times whilst watching and spent much of the rest of the time looking at Chris Pine's mole  !
It's a very poor Bourne. It was reasonable at the beginning
up until the bathroom scene
then it was mediocre. Also why or why did Branagh think it was a good idea to cast himself as the Russian villain when he had Mikhail Baryshnikov available? Arrogance or what?

yeah I am sure it is ken who is the problem here. hes not a bad actor and not a bad director sometimes, but his downfall seems to be directing himself, which he always sucks so bad at. the power has clearly gone to his head.

pine wasn't really the problem, he even tried to imitate Harrison fords mannerisms on occasion and you could almost believe he was a young JR.
