Doing well, only 10 films I need to see in the major categories (minus the foreign films, debuts, documentaries, and shorts) and already plans to watch 4 in the next couple weeks. Will need to fit the other 6 in!

Well chuffed to see Will Poulter win a wee ornament for his fireplace.
And he wasn't the only Will there.

That was probably the most satisfying BAFTA awards I've yet seen. 12 Years a Slave and Gravity well rewarded, both films having a very British connection - especially the latter with its London-based technicians and visual artists. Tinie Tempah high-fiving Prince William was brilliant. Also great to see Peter Greenaway and the strange tangential world of British arthouse cinema being rewarded. Once again, Stephen Fry is the mellifluous master of the marvellously-tuned English phrase. Bravo!

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Me too, ever since Son of Rambo, he looked like something special. They didnt mention Voyage of the Dawn Treader amongst the list of films (which I find peculiar, as I thought he would have made a more international mark in that movie) but he totally elevated that film's entertainment value ten-fold. He was memorable in Wild Bill too. Yeah well deserved and his speech was quite humorous, particularly when he nearly dug himself a hole in nearly forgetting the names of his fellow nominees!
My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .
