To be honest, I have never cared which country gets how many medals in what. I just love the figure skating and ice dancing. My favourite at these Olympics is Jason Brown (The Boy With The Ponytail) from the US and his fabulous Riverdance routine. He's only 19 and I see a bright future for him.

finally began my catchup.

opening ceremony was pretty awesome, if perhaps a bit too bombastic for a winter Olympics.

Starting at day 1 - Like Billy Morgan but I have this feeling he wont win anything. He seems to be focusing too much on a me,me,me image of himself in the media, and athletes who do that usually aren't focused and fall short. Plus being young, I think his time will be the next games.
Cross country skiing - ha, that's the power walk of this Olympics, athletes look so funny waddling uphill on skis!

still rolling... next the women.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

See there is now an online petition to get Alain Baxter's Bronze medal returned to him. You may remember he was the third in the mens Slalom ski event but was disqualified later because he took a US VIC Nasal inhaler which was slightly different to the UK one.

Let's hope he gets his medal now

Another sweep for the Dutch (women's 1500m speed skating)! With 17 medals (most of all countries so far) this is the most successful Olympic Winter Games for the Netherlands ever and the speed skating races aren't even over yet

and tomorrows guaranteed medal in the mens. Yet again Curling has caught the imagination of the great british public and yet again its guaranteed it will be forgotten for at least another 4 years. With an event like curling I may be mistaken but I doubt its played too much outside of Scotland. What a shame that no one will really push to 1-keep It in the public profile and 2-encourage youngsters to learn the game

I think that a new rink is to be made in Sheffield for curling. With all the cut backs I don't know if any leisure centres will be able to remain open

Well I have thoroughly enjoyed the snowboarding& skiing stuff, er I mean the free style, and the 2 guys who give the commentary. I have noooo idea what they are on about but they have made me ooo arrrr and laugh  they have been brilliant and I will miss them when this ends

Yea for the curling teams :cheer: :cheer:
