When Freddie gets a new job as a door-to-door salesman and bumps into his old school sweetheart Julie (Felicity Jones), the gang are forced to make choices that will change their lives for ever.

Has to be better than Gervais' directorial work without Merchant, right?
Invention Of Lying was poor as all heck, this should be at least well done.

I thought Invention of Lying was OK but i reckon you'll be right about this one as I believe, ahving listened to the old XFM shos, that Merchant is the real talent of the two

I'm really looking forward to this as I'm from the 70's. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is Ricky Gervais' smug mug on the screen
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

They're both extremely talented. Merchant is certainly the brainbox and Ricky Gervais never hides that fact but Gervais as a performer is brilliant and as a comedy partnership, they're gold imho.

As far as Gervais's hollywood venture goes, I only really liked Ghost Town. But i can see how Gervais falls into that love him/hate him category. I hate his podcast and his laugh is excruciatingly annoying! But Extras and The Office are in my top 5 all time favourite Brit coms.

I look forward to seeing this film.

I may have said this before, but I am in the hate him category. Where is Room 101 when you need it. Ugh.

PS Ghost Town would have been better were it not for RG.

Is that because everyone in the entertainment industry loves Gervais?

I'd like to think it's going to be good I just wish they'd cast Karl Pilkington in a serious role in a movie

Just seen it, loved it, besides the place not looking nearly as horrible as the characters complained about, and some kinda 2D characters, it was funny, very interesting and, well, nicely toned for a drama that meanders into comedy.
