I knew they were really good before I saw this, being in possession of their entire back catalogue on my mp3 player, but this concert gave you their artistic dimension, creatively lit performances interspersed with specially made videos. Absolutely awesome, although no video gets close to the images the band put in your head with their sublime tunes.
I have seen Goldfrapp a few times in concert - always an amazing experience. Glad you enjoyed it.

I am glad you said that Timbo, I was wondering how well they translate to a full blown concert. Might treat myself for my birthday to one of their upcoming non-London gigs. Ta.

Kate Bush to play live for the first time since 1979. This is a dream come true for me. Now just got to hope and pray I get tickets.

OH booked yesterday (registered fans received a code for advance access; public booking opens tomorrow), which was a great relief to me. Not that I wanted to go (he did ask, but I'm not a particular fan), but just as well I didn't, when I heard how much the tickets cost: OH didn't even b*y a top-price ticket but by the time fees had been added, for a single ticket he still pa*d over £100!

I'm sure hardcore fans would think it was worth that much and more, and I do realise that, as OH assured me, it will be an historic event, but I wouldn't p*y anything approaching that amount for someone I did want to see - I could have a whole weekend away for less!

I would actually p*y anything to see Kate, and guess what.....I got tickets today. I am so happy. I never thought she would play live again and I really didn't think I would be lucky enough to get tickets. Can't wait until September!!

Within Temptation and Delain at Wembley Arena was an oustanding event on Saturday. First time seeing both bands. Fire breathing dragons on stage! Reasonable priced tickets with an excellent stage set, light and fire display.

Yesterday I saw FM, Europe and Foreigner at Hammersmith. Finally got to see and hear The Final Countdown played live, as well as Cold as Ice and plenty of other songs.

Took my Mum along to Johnny Mathis at the O2 Arena for a treat. His voice was amazing considering his age. Certainly puts other singers to shame who should probably hang up their mic but keep touring.

Saw The Stranglers at Hammersmith a few weeks ago. Excellent gig and atmosphere. Very crowded downstairs in the standing area. The Foreigner gig probably should have been standing rather than seated downstairs in the stalls.

I also saw Foreigner in Portsmouth, Mick Jones hometown, was a fantastic night!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Was Mick presented with his award on stage during their set at the Portsmouth Guildhall?

The Pompey High School Choir came on stage at Hammersmith to support the band during "I want to know what love is". They must have been excited to perform at the venue. Quite a late night too if they were travelling back after the gig. I wondered why the school minibus was doing parked up outside the front of the venue when I arrived. I thought perhaps the band had treated a few of the school kids to attend the concert.

No, he was presented before the concert during the day.

WOW! Must of been great for the High School Choir!

I'm off to see Open Mind at O'Neills in Leytonstone tonight. They really are a great live band who, in my opinion, deserve to make it big. They've headlined Barfly in Camden and O2 Academy in Islington in the past few months. @open_mind_band

Saw Rodrigo Y Gabriela at the Royal Albert Hall with support from Mundy on Tuesday. Vincente Amigo and Mike McGoldrick made an appearance too. Rodrigo Y Gabriela even played and sung Creep by Radiohead. Gabriela was playing her guitar whilst spinning around at the same time. Amazing sound and atmosphere throughout the evening.
