I'd say Chef worked as a feel good movie, I don't think it worked so well as a comedy, I smiled a couple of times but don't remember laughing, I didn't hear much laughter else where in the cinema.

Snagged tickets to see this next week (woo hoo after a 6 month drought free films are again appearing at my local venue) and looking forward to it.

I saw this tonight and had the bonus of a Q&A with Jon Favreau.

It is by no means perfect: it should have been shorter, too much product placement and not as funny as it could have been but still entertaining enough with some touching moments and it had my mouth watering. 6.5/10.

Back from Glasgow. Personally I liked it but then I really love food. Apparently whenever I see tasty food I go mmmmmm and that isexactly what I did especially when I saw all that meat, the pork belly, spaghetti, cheese toastie, and the brisket. Mmmmmmmm.

Should it be shorter, probably but then I didn't mind all the music playing and seeing different parts of the States. 7/10

Who runs a film about food at 6.30? Sadists. My poor tummy was rumbling throughout.
I really enjoyed this food road trip and father son bonding film. It was easy to watch and not taxing at all. The tweeting worked well but I could have done without the wee birdies in cartoon form. It was endearing perhaps the first time then it was just annoying.
Really enjoyed this fil, it was an excellent reminder if dome fab holidays I have had too.

Enjoyed this film. hubby had thought it was a comedy but not too many laughs in the cinema .lots of latecomers which was quite distracting, one even shone a torch over both sides without finding seats.

Feel good film and nice to see on a wet evening in Edinburgh,m dry when we came out.

Cinema very hot so felt cooked watching Chef.

Phew I'm glad I ate just before the film the food looked mouthwatering. As for the film I really loved the cool soundtracks throughout and it did a good job at being a feel good film. It got a few laughs from me and I'm sure it's done the American tourist board wonders for all those foodies. Better than what I expected. 8/10

A watchable but not memorable film. Liked the scenes from New Orleans and them going to the Café du Monde - been there several years ago - a tourist place but good fun.

Liked the music and the little boy was cute. 7/10

Thought this was rather good and definitely feel-good. Don't go on an empty stomach though - there is so much food floating about! (Can you belive I saw someone eating a yogurt in the cinema tonight? Who eats yogurt in a cinema?)
Felt it went a little flat about half-way through, but picked up again to a rather satisfying, if obvious ending.
I was waiting for some sort of disaster or at least an element of drama, but I did like how it panned out - geddit? - "pan"!
Loved the animated tweets and twittering too.
Amused by the name of the food critic - Ramsay Michel (presumably from Gordon Ramsay and Michel Roux?).

Nice original story, and I liked the travelogue nature of the movie too, recognising all of the places visited on my travels too.

Now my tummy is rumbling!
