I watched Britains got talent last night, how amazing were the Gymnasts and Christopher Stone singing Maria it reduced me to tears; what a humble gentleman with an amazing voice! See him on u tube I keep on watching it with a tear in my eye and also because I love West Side Story.

Having nothing better to do, I watched 4 episodes of Ashes to Ashes - great stuff! Takes me right back to the 80s - the fashion, the hairdos, the music. Phiilp Glenister is fabulous as Detective Gene Hunt.

I read an interesting aricle yesterday. :D

"Gene Hunt has topped a poll of TV characters people would like to see as prime minister.

The straight-talking 1980s detective from Ashes to Ashes, played by Philip Glenister, was the clear favourite with 43 per cent of votes in a survey for virginmedia.com. Doctor Who came second, with Top Gear's mystery racing driver, the Stig, trailing in third place.

Hard-drinking Frank Gallagher, of Channel 4 drama Shameless, came a surprising fourth, while Coronation Street siren Rosie "Dozy" Webster followed in fifth place."

Well, due to the lack of good things to watch on TV last night (Sat 1 May), instead I watched 'Son of Rambow' on DVD.

What a brilliant film! I missed out on free tickets for this at the time, but remember folks writing about what a great and funny film it was, and it is! I think all the kids involved are amazing, and I loved it. I can't believe it was really 2007 when it previewed.

I've now been given a DVD of Juno (another film I missed out on at the time), so I may be sitting down (finally) to watch it tonight. It scores slightly above SoR on IMDB, so I think I will enjoy it too

Ooooh, a weekend of good films. What a treat!

Thank you to all the folks on this website - you don't know it, but you have been a great support in my life. You have enabled me to get out and about and see things that I would have otherwise missed or just not thought I could manage to. I know I don't talk so much as others on the site, but I hope I say enough to keep me in the gang (as it were!) I'm very appreciative of your efforts to keep this site alive and kicking.

Anyway, I've wittered on too much.

I'm off to watch Juno now. :P Enjoy your evenings!
