I loved it! It reminded me of watching Mamma Mia for the first time but better in some ways! Great fun film just perfect for a summer's evening . . . no thinking required! I'm hoping to see it again next Thursday if I can scrounge a ticket for Glasgow from someone! (I missed the Sun release at midnight as I was unwell and when I tried at 1.50am, none left! If anyone is feeling generous. . . . :sunglasses: )
Marks 9/10
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley

Oh come on, a plot gets in the way of the songs in these kind of films.
It put a great big smile on my face after a really shitty day and I do love a good old sing song so these 80s hits were perfect for that.

Cheesy, cliched and utterly predictable but I loved it. 8/10

Totally agree, The Sparrow! I'm going under with all the stress of this week and Walking on Sunshine definitely provided a welcome break. Roll on next Thursday until I get to see it again and the 2 major events of this weekend of a wedding and dad's birthday party are over. It's definitely something to look forward to! o/

Great scenery and I want that house and swimming pool!! LOL moments, hunky lead guy, fun film with predictable songs - very cheesy but loved it! Would happily watch it again. 8/10

Guess you'll not be going for a second showing Stuartboy. ;)

I thought I would just check again re Walking on Sunshine tickets (even though I've kindly been offered and got tickets ;) ) and they are now only offering 2 tickets and not the 4 of last night. Mind you . . . they still didn't have any left for Glasgow!

Hated hated hated hated it.

It was the cinema equivalent of pulling teeth. Why on earth do they have an actor who can't sing (Greg Wise) do two songs while Leona Lewis doesn't get one?!
