CommonWealth Games In Glasgow

Just back from finishing dog-sitting for my sister and as there is nothing on the telly we have put on the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. It isn't bad at all but why all the empty seats?

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

They were still selling tickets today but were for the dearer seats! :rolleyes:

nice show, very singsong, and enough of an attempt at a novel direction divergent from the pomp of 2012.

I think I missed the fireworks again lol. I am gonna go up to Glasgow for the Closingone.

Fireworks were brilliant. We could see and hear them miles away in Paisley! o/
Also, some neighbours have also got in the spirit and set off fireworks so been a noisy end to the evening! :rolleyes:

Well I thought it looked great -- if that's a Scottish welcome then I feel I must get up to Scotland pronto! I loved the Scottie dogs wearing the names of the countries rather than someone carrying a board -- so endearing. Some of the dear things has to be carried as they must have had a bit of stage fright. And I really loved violinist Nicola Benedetti -- she looked so moved as the spontaneous singing accompanied her playing of Loch Lomond.

I watched at ,
Vue on the big screen. It held my attention more than had I watched on TV.
My friend Pam. And I had a ball with our alternative commentary.
It was about 1/2 full
