I expected something better. I mean the 3D was pointless, the main story seemed weak, the baddie was not bad enough. Still, I enjoyed it in that summer blockbuster that doesn't require much involvement from the viewer kind of way.

8/10

BEST MARVEL MOVIE EVER! I've already seen this twice and still can't get my head around some of the plot twists. They hit the nail on the head with this movie as it has a little bit of everything: car chases, awesome fight sequences, shocking twists and of course Scarlett Johansson o/ 10/10 in my opinion must see for any fan of the marvel cinematic universe!

Saw this at the weekend and it pretty much lived up to my expectations, there were a lot of unexpected twists & turns in the plot and the fight sequences were of a surprisingly high standard.

Chris Evans did a great job of making me care about a character that I've been pretty indifferent to in comic book form & I thought Robert Redford really stood out from the crowd performance wise.

However it wasn't by any means perfect, I'm still not overly fond of Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow' and the final few sequences felt a little bit generic.

But for me this film was more about the journey than the destination so overall it did more than enough to deserve an 8/10 o/ ...

Here's my review, along with a nice Cap-era lemon pound cake.

Saw this last night, i agree the 3D did seem a little pointless although made the scenes seem nicer i guess! This sequel was so much better than the first captain america film in my opinion despite the obvious and weak story line. Wish there had been other cameos from the other avengers characters especially considering the story line! 7/10

Saw this with a voucher in glorious 2D. Captain America has to be one of the best-looking and at the same time dullest male Avenger. He is just too goody-two-shoes somehow. At least Ironman has some edge. That said, it was an enjoyable romp which gave Scarlett Johansson plenty of kicking arse to do. Loved to see Jenny Agutter, albeit in a minor role but why is Alan Dale uncredited as one of the Councilmen? Always good to see Robert Redford who gets wrinklier by the minute. The fight and car chase scenes were exciting but it always amuses me when Captain America gets away by hiding behind his shield which doesn't cover his whole body - does no one EVER think of shooting at his legs to render him instantly immobile? No one even by accident manages to hit them? Really?
Didn't quite understand all that Hydra talk and some of the plot, and where did that Falcon guy suddenly got wings from? They are not standard soldier gear last time I looked. Some impressive scenery and buildings though (before they got destroyed).
Didn't wait around for any post-credit scenes as in my experience they are never worth it.

8/10

Watched this last night and enjoyed it, although not quite as good as the first I felt 7/10. Good to see Robert Redford in it.

Shows the differences in the list of things to do if you watch the film in a particular country.

I don't know why, but I just can't get into either Captain America films. I thought the first one was really bad, and then I expected this one to be a lot better as a lot of people did say it was better but it still wasn't a great movie. I don't understand the hype to this film.
