The Imitation Game
Saw this at a midday showing in Sutton. Virtually all pensioners and completely absorbed. Overall I thought it a good film but unfortunately it flagged for a while after about 40 minutes.
That only lasted for a few minutes though. Special mention for an unusually excellent Keira Knightly. Of what I've seen, possibly her best to date. Cumberbatch repeated his Sherlock type role, which he does supremely well. Also Mark Strong the MI6 agent was entirely believable. Not a film that has necessarily to be seen in the cinema. 8/10

Re: The Imitation Game
This pretty much lived up to my expectations, an interesting story decently told with some very good performances from the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Mark Strong & Charles Dance.
Overall it's a very decent historical drama that did more than enough to get an 8/10 from me...

Re: The Imitation Game
Loved the film! I mean what's not to like when I can watch Cumberbatch for two hours and as additional bonuses see great performances from Charles Dance and Mark Strong as well! The story has been dealt with in documentaries, books and at least one other film, so pretty worn out but this new approach appealed to me. Well worth seeing!
Re: The Imitation Game
Solid performances all around. Enjoyed seeing Mark Strong and Matthew Goode Hope this gets some Oscar nominations.

Re: The Imitation Game
Saw this Saturday afternoon and absolutely loved it. I thought CB was great as the troubled genius. I would like to have known a little more about Alan's parents and family but other than that thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely one of the best films I've seen this year and gets a well deserved 9/10.
