To be fair, there were elements, especially Worthington himself, that were ok in Terminator 4. Mainly because he plays a good robot.

I actually didn't mind this too much. Maybe I'd had my expectations considerably lowered due to some of the reviews, but I thought this passed the time agreeably enough. I have no great desire to sit through it again but I don't regret seeing it. Glad I saw it in 2D though as I can imagine the fight scenes would be a disaster in 3D. I thought most of the CGI did the job well enough and that a couple of the set pieces were fairly exciting. Yes, Sam Worthington still makes a fairly bland leading man but there was some okay support from Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Mads Mikkelsen (The band of soldiers who accompany Perseus were fairly good value too in general). Others don't fare so well. Why on earth would you hire Danny Huston and only give him one line? You've also gotta feel sorry for Elizabeth McGovern as well, who makes a fleeting appearance in two brand new big movies this week and dies in the first 5 minutes of both. At least she gets to do and say a little bit more here than she did in Kick Ass (Jason Flemyng and Tamer Hassan appear in both movies too).
So overall it's hard not to damn 'Clash of the Titans' with faint praise. It's a reasonably entertaining movie that passes the time. But yes it probably should have been more.

Two unrelated things I noticed. It tries to p*y homage to the original but does so in a way that sticks two fingers up at it. Bubo the mechanical owl makes an appearance but only so they can hold it up and say 'That was a bit of a sh*t idea wasn't it?' Not exactly the best way to appease fans of the original (Although they are probably right. They just didn't need to say it) Oh and for fans of 'Skins' there's a Tony and Effy reunion. Sort of. The fact that this was one of the first things that popped into my head as I was leaving probably says a fair deal about how memorable the movie is as a whole.

We saw this yesterday afternoon at local Vue and it was packed out - probably says more about the weather in Edinburgh than the calibre of teh filom though.

Hubby really wanted to see it so I agreed. The first 15 minutes I thought "Gee, this is dull" but much to my surprise it did improve and although not by any means a great it was passably ok. Glad we saw it in 2D and not rip-off 3D though as I can't imagine that would have enhanced the film one iota.

I liked the fact the actors all kept their own accents rather than faked American ones.

5.5/10 from me.

used my tesco's voucher for this. not impressed really, I wouldn't have picked it but the teenage sons wanted to see it (actually their first choice, The Bounty Hunter wasn't showing. Yes yes I know I'm all for them being in thouch with their feminine side, but really...The Bounty Hunter ???? ) It was rather a lot like the Percy Jackson storyline, and I wasn't wowed by that either.

This is the first film this year that our whole tribe wanted to see. Went to see in 2D as 3D would have been exorbitant and glad we made that choice. It was passable for a dull day and all thought it OK but everyone thought it fell short of expectations and even 3D would not have lifted it ...still ever the optimist there's Robin Hood to come...
