I just went to see this and to be honest I was suprised, from the trailer my first opinion was there would be an overwelming ammount of violence, however the ammount of comedy in a way made it quite even. So overall I give it a 8.5/10.

Some brilliant scenes and superb acting.

Was I the only one who thought they were trying too hard in some scenes?

no you are not alone. I have been waiting for this film for months, so maybe I'd hyped myself up too much. It was very good in parts, but not enough tongue in cheek humour for me.

I loved the soundtrack, very Bond like, and there were some fabulous set pieces. HOwever Samuel L got on my nerves very quickly. The boy was great, had a touch of Ewan McGregor about him and as for Colin Firth, all I can say is WOW 8/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Fun flick, funny & entertaining with Vaughn's visual flair showcased to the max ... but then also pretty low on substance compared to his previous endeavours.
Don't get me wrong -- I enjoyed it and had a big grin on my face throughout. I think I just expected more from the Goldman/Vaughn dream team.

Colin Firth's a joy to watch and Sofia Boutella (Gazelle) definitely gives Hit-Girl a run for her money but a Kick-Ass beater this most surely ain't.

7/10

great fun will see it again, and again, and again...for free heehee.

A really good interpretation and indeed an improvement of the Millar comic book, apart from missing one key hilarious scene at the end involving the "Doomsday device" and another with the thugs back home 9.5/10 The first devilishly good superhero film of the year lands with a bang.

Personally I thought this was awesome. OH was bored towards the 60 minute mark before it picked up again. But I enjoyed it throughout. Too engrossed in the film to see any of the cameos. Guess I just have to see it again. 9/10

I loved this film . . .funny, outrageous and entertaining. It definitely wasn't the type of film I was expecting . . . I thought it was going to be a serious James Bond film so very surprised at how funny it was. As others have said, I totally missed the cameos as I was too engrossed in the film.
I realise that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but it definitely entertained me.
I would happily have pa*d to see this film which makes all the free screenings of it slightly strange.
Marks 9/10
