Well done Diane :D

I'm pleased (and relieved ;) ) to say that I've lost 2 pounds this week, after last week's pathetic and shameful effort. :D

Thanks for those kind messages of support ejwrank and Diane. o/

I've just watched a 3 part Horizon special over the course of today called something like "What's the right diet for you" on the BBC iPlayer. The episodes were first shown on the BBC a couple of days ago. It's interesting and thought provoking stuff backed up with some useful links to supporting material on a the bbc's own website (see the progs for the link). o/ If you've ever had the ambition to absail down a lighthouse give it a watch. 8O

Fell off the wagon somewhat today by having take away fish and chips this evening. :red: Ok not brilliant I'll admit, but I'll be back on track tomorrow. ;) Still haven't managed any exercise at all due to dodgy back.

Hope everyone else is being good. :D

You should invoice your hubby retrospectively for all those years of good advice, Sunny Saver ;)

Good luck for this week's weigh day Diane :cross: - If I don't lose something this week, I'm just going to fib!
Good advice Preston, please don't invoice me for it. Also I deserve something for having to eat all those crisps so he doesn't have to!

Goodness it's very quiet in here these days, where is everyone! Diane?, Asamaic?, Andrews?, Ejwrank?

I do hope that you are all being good, eating sensibly and doing whatever exercise you are able to.

Good luck for tomorrow's weigh day Diane. :cross:

I'm hoping that I'll have lost some weight this week or at least stayed the same. I do find that all this cold weather makes cutting down on calories really hard. ;)

Glad to hear that Preston is holding the fort here while the rest of us stray. Only thing I've managed this week is to make some soup -- leek and potato again but it was a family request so I'm happy to oblige. I gave the tiny bit of cream (that was left over after making some rather calorie laden 'gratin dauphinoise' or creamy potatoes as we call them) to our beloved cat today so does that entitle me to claim weight watchers' status? No, I didn't think so.

Good luck to you real weight watchers in your weigh ins tomorrow.

Well what can I say had a busy weekend long story - tax returns and then a bit of a car exhaust crisis (lent a car to sister in law so had to take it to her then exhaust blew later so had to rescue her ) ha ha so just ate on the run so I don't hold out much hope for me tomorrow  . Ejwrank if you did give some cream to Paddy it does count as being healthy ;)
Good luck Preston1990 and I have a fairly clear weekend so need to get that DVD out and do it.

Maybe getting the Jamie Oliver 15 mins cook book for the OH was a not so good idea? He has produced some stunning meals. Portion control is my only option

Hi all,

I've been reading the past few posts on here & well dome for making a good start to 2015 with your diets :)

I started mine on 27 December, & have lost 7lbs since then. A friend of a friend is training to be a nutritionalist, so I'm getting advice secondhand on making healthier choices. Having a chronic pain condition for 5 years now, it makes it very difficult to exercise & I realised the weight was gradually building up over time - due to lack of movement & comfort eating! Glad to say I'm doing something about it now.

Went to the cinema the other day, & rather than bringing in chocolates, microwave popcorn & a fizzy drink (like I used to), this time I brought in a bottle of water, a wholemeal wrap with chicken & salad, small bowl of natural yoghurt with a bit of honey (delicious by the way!), & a tub of blueberries, Shreddies, chopped up grapes & chopped apples. Surprisingly moreish but guilt free, too :)

7lbs down, 41lbs to go!
