Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
finally succumbed to the doctor who series 8. Whilst it doesn't feel it deserves 5 stars (largely due to the great-idea-wrecking Moffat plot), the play on the doctor succumbing to age related memory affliction is clever, very clever. Capaldi is creepy enough to play the Master as well, though Gomez's Missy is promisingly madcap.
And Sherlock season 3 (if 3 eps can be deemed a season). Goodness what a silly death rehash. anyway, onwards and upwards.

Saw Whiplash last night (courtesy of FMUK & SFF). Incredible film. On the edge of my seat the entire time. Really grips you. There's something brutal about the relentless perfectionism of Fletcher. Highly recommended.

Ascension.
boy, is it dumb. Whilst the twist was half expected and to be fair pretty obvious (like America could really set up the Orion project).....Gravity problem? DUH.

I watched Rush Hour for the umpteenth time. I will never tire of watching the amazing Jackie Chan.

Deadwood - beat that (you can't). Old, and on an barely-listed channel, but easily one of the best things on telly at the mo...

The Brit Awards. Thought Ant and Dec weren't very good but no change there then. Whoever came up with the bingo game needs to be fired lol! The most exciting part was when Madonna fell!
