Re: Weight Watchers
Hi All,
I had abandoned the forum for a while. I was in self destruct mode. Since running my marathon in October I have put on a shed load of weight. on Friday 13th I weighed in at 100kg. My weight gain was down to a mix of a breakdown in my mental health, increases in my medication, eating more not so good food and my exercise regime crashing over the winter period. I have been so embarrassed about my abdominal weight gain I can't face going back to my gym - really frustrating - it really makes me want to cry as I do love the gym.
All is not lost though. I have started to regain my mojo again. Although I am far from religious, i decided for Lent I would give up coffee shops, Restaurants, sweets, cakes, and biscuits. It starts today until the 2nd of April. It's a shame my 40th lands in the middle of Lent but I can have a few bits and pieces when it is over. I intend to start the gym shortly and start to get back in shape for a run at the end of April. Unfortunately I have a cold at the moment and that is why the gym will be happening shortly and not immediately.
Well I hope everyone else is doing well and things are going in the right direction. I will go through the back posts shortly and try and catch up.
Have a good day all :-)

Re: Weight Watchers
Know how you feel stone-monkey and good luck with your regime, sounds like a good plan.
Had another hydro pool session yesterday and feel wiped out today. Only 20 mins but I got to swim. Told OH I was like a sea otter........ ok you had to be there. Just the freedom to move was brilliant.

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi folks,
I hope everyone is okay.
Had my weigh in yesterday 96kg (4kg down woop woop). I'm hoping as the weight went on super fast at least half of it will just drop off.
3 days into my fast food fast and i'm not climbing the walls yet craving sugar (although i still have fruit in my diet - much sugar there). I have a coffee shop trial today as i'm meeting friends and going to sit with a glass of water - oooh.
I was reading that an increase in animal proteins helps wash away fat from your middle. So, I'm increasing my proteins along with my veg and curbing my carbs such as pasta and rice to a 50g portion when taken with a meal.
My water intake is sitting at about 1500mls a day along with copious amounts of coffee (unfortunately required to wash away sedation caused by my medication.
Started back at the gym yesterday. I did an hour - gosh, that was strenuous. Hadn't been in a while and feel like my fitness has plummeted. Hopefully after a couple of weeks I'll feel normal-ish again.
Well, I'm just having a coffee then I'm off to the gym.
Everyone have a good weekend and be safe.
M

Re: Weight Watchers
Wow stone_monkey that is just amazing. I'm mega impressed
You must be so proud of yourself.
I'm completely out of the zone at the moment. My beautiful cat Rosie sadly died 2 weeks ago and it has really knocked me for six (anyone who knows me will totally understand my devastation as I just adore my cats). Then I have been out for tons of meals for my birthday along with a trip to Lisbon so a mixture of highs and lows and lots of eating
but on the positive side I did walk loads on my 4 day trip. I intended to be trim for Edinburgh but it looks like you'll have the fat me
I still have 5 more birthday meals out yet
plus a reunion with a lovely friend
Good luck Preston1990 with your weigh in tomorrow. I went on this morning and no change in 7 weeks

Re: Weight Watchers
Go easy on yourself, Diane-- you've had an awful lot to contend with and I understand completely how terrible it is to lose a beloved pet. I was very sad to hear that news.
Enjoy your birthday meals and reunions with friends. As for which Diane will be seen in Edinburgh -- I know it will be the delightful Diane as always and everyone will be looking forward to that!
