The first REC was surprisingly good. I think hand-held cameras have long been a cliché, especially in the horror genre, but it was a quality flick. Much better than Paranormal Activity. Even though it's not my favourite genre, I regard it as a playground for directors, where what they do is the main attraction.

So as there was minimal plot in the first one I don't think you'll need to have seen it for this, and if it's as good as the first I'll be very happy. Still, it's hand-held so it's not an essential flick for me.

Well guys what happened to you all?

It seems that half of FMUK have cried off this one, judging by the posts here and the number of tickets being offerred in the swap central forum. What a bunch of scaredy cats!!

Never mind - I'll be there to check it out tonight and will be sure to report back. I'm probably going to get a good kicking from my (first) wife for taking her to see this, as I know it's absolutely not her kind of film and I was very vague when she inquired as to what it was about.

There's just no way I'm going to see a horror film by myself though - I need someone to cling on to!! :D
