I saw this last night at Glasgow Fort in the company of ploggit safely back from his hols.
I was slightly disappointed as I had thought the film was going to be a good comedy . . .instead it was average. I agree that the last 10 minutes was good and this was more the type of humour I had expected throughout. I liked the girl who played Amy and expect she will be in many other films.
Marks 6/10

This was good but not as great as I'd hoped. I've seen lots of Amy Schumer's sketches on YouTube and a lot of them are very sharp and funny, but as with most Judd Apatow films this felt slightly less than the sum of its parts. I'd love to see a non-directors version which is 15-20 minutes shorter.

But I did enjoy it, I laughed and the emotional stuff worked and felt earned. My only other concern would be that Amy's big breakout starring role could get completely overshadowed by LeBron James who was hilarious 7/10

Back to the film, yeah not memorable, a bit bland and boring really. 5.5/10
I thought this was a scene I must have slept through until your final sentence!

Oops.
It was more interesting than that bit of the film, that's for sure.

A second viewing - saw this last month with Q&A - and enjoyed it again, funny and heartwarming. Filled with tears the first time, and again the second time. Amy Schumer is a very funny lady. My plus one enjoyed it too. 8/10

Surprisingly good - lots of the cameo roles and American sports star references were lost on me - would play better to an American audience. Lots of laugh out loud moments though and some good acting all round. Enjoyed this immensely 8/10 :0)

Enjoyed it more than I thought. Odeon Kingston was only half full; they managed to mess it up by starting the movie at about 6 instead than 6:30. They stopped it, started again at 6:30, tried to put on Diary of a Teenage Girl instead, stopped it again and finally it started (for good!) at 6:40.

I thought it was really good, the time flew by, it didn't see like two hours. I couldn't decide if she was really hot or not though.

this was pretty good, with the lead recognising that its no longer cool to play agonisingly loud "big" girls, she instead deliberately and unashamedly played a "normal" girl, albeit with a raucous sex life.

Some very funny scenes, and generally early on not really predictable, but perhaps a little too long and sentimental towards the end when the comedy wick had truly begun to burn out. Almost had us forgetting that her character was a bit of cow when it came to relationships.

The Swinton thing is a bit freakish, actually quite unsettling. Shes gone from a pale but smart looking freak to hot middleaged blonde. There is no way on earth you'd recognise her (apart from perhaps the odd arched eyebrow at times in the movie). Its practically a Mission Impossible mask. Or a facechange machine (they do exist then!).
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
