Loved this. I thought it was very well made and there were 4 stunning performances from Anne-Marie Duff, Helena Bonham Carter, Meryl and Carey Mulligan. So relevant today too. Oh and a special mention to the kid's ability to cry like that!

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Meryl Streep, in her blink and you'll miss her role, just regurgitated her Margaret Thatcher character.
Thought that this was as drab as the era that it was set in.

This was a bit grim and hard work for a while, but by the end it really packed a punch.

There were at least 3 really, really powerful moments in the film which will live long in the memory, plus some staggering statistics over the end credits 8/10

Not bad and not too long - bit rich to have Streep on poster like she is lead character, must have filmed her scenes in a day!

Rightfully conjured up distress. What women did for the vote is unbelievable. What they were up against was unbelievable. There is still alot to fight for. Good film 9/10

I agree. It can be argued that women have the right to do what they like, even to not vote, but it's still pretty stupid. Ben Wishaw's character annoyed me so much. His wife did the same amount of work, probably more, but she was still expected to do the household, make dinner and look after the kid. But for him it was too much and he gave his own son up for adoption! The bastard. That's why voting is so important, to change laws like this.
