They do clear up when they leave and cover carpets/floors and they even covered a newly painted wall so no equipment would mark it. They left our house very neat but I was glad not to opt to have the sequence with the fake snow. I said no to that and they filmed that and a lot of other scenes on the other end of our road. Their whole front garden was covered in white artifical snow and I did wonder how they would manage to clear that up.

You have to be careful they leave your stuff behind though as it is a mad rush when they leave and the set/props people just clear everything away. And they 'borrow' stuff they like so you have to be sure to get it all back. Year ago (decades really) they managed to take away all son's Arsenal stuff (pens/rulers/pencil boxes etc which they used in the filming and we had to try to get it back. The lady was very apologetic and sent a parcel back by motorcycle courier. We opened it and it turned out to be an assortment of Tottenham stuff! EEEKKKKK!!!!! We finally got David's stuff back and had the package to give to his friend who was as mad a Spurs fan as son was a Gunners fan.

Sometimes we are given lunch (if they are here for a full day) but this was only 1/2 a day so we ended up with just a good selection of fruit before they moved it all down the road. You can help yourself to snacks/drinks as our kitchen is out of bounds!

How insulting - a parcel of Tottenham stuff! Yuck.

So there I was on the bus and a lady get on who looks familiar but she sits down a ways away from me and I'm not sure if I know her or not...it can't be Sunny Saver's mum as she looks far too young! Very stylish hairdo and dark glasses -- maybe a film star travelling incognito up to The Angel???? Then I'm standing at the exit ready to get off and she sees me and says hello and I have to tell her I wasn't sure if it really was SS's mum as she is looking so young!

That was spooky. I just read your post and I was going to say 'nah couldn't have been my mum'. The phone rang before I could write it, it was my mum, I asked her if she'd seen you on the bus and she said yes. Then she starts laughing as she said you told her she looked like a film star!

Pleased with the results of in rugby and football this weekend, which makes a change for me. Aussies and Arsenal won. I keep telling my OH I feel bad for him as neither of his teams won. Unfortunately the huge  as I say it means he doesn't believe me and also that I'm lying.

Random question, but does anyone know where I can b*y pumpkin spice powder or syrup? Or as a last resort: pumpkin pie spice? My sister wants it for baking and to put in wintery hot drinks, but I haven't been able to find it in the bigger supermarkets so far.

I think it may be a bit too American but hoping someone might know how I can get it in the UK, thanks!

Oh, and I'm also looking for candy corn and a place (online or bricks-and-mortar) to b*y products from Bath & Body Works as their fall and winter range this year sounds amazing. So basically, if anyone knows of a good American shop in London or online, please let me know. :thanks:
