What early alerts? Everyone is talking about delayed alerts meaning we miss out. Time travel really hasn't been invented, its just a plot device for books, tv, & movies.

If you mean email alerts then as demonstrated by this thread there are massive problems currently with the system, has been an on going issue for months now.

When you go into the free films forum at the top left of the forum you click on subscribe forum. Then you should get an email when something is posted. Problem is that it's not working properly at the moment.

just need to think of the categories

1. no problem at all with alerts
2. the occasional glitch but still working most of the time
3. delayed alerts
4. no alerts whatsoever

any others?

I would qualify the delayed alerts. a) less than an hour. b) 1-2 hours. c) more than 2 hours. d) more than 24 hours

I don't mind if someone else wants to start the poll thread, I've got a lot of other things, comps etc to catch up on do wouldn't get round to it myself till the morning.

I just got the bridge of spies alert at 15:49, two hours after if it was posted.

If AYBG is about I think we were better off with how it was a month or so back before attempts were made to fix it when only a few of us weren't getting alerts. At least then somebody got them on time and my ticket fairy would get them if I didn't. The current situation means alerts are of no use to anyone.

Can I just ask how you guys access your email notifications? Do they pop up on your screen or do you have to go into your email programme and check them? Because if it's the latter, couldn't you just have FMUK open in a window instead and refresh it in the same intervals you use to check your emails? When you see orange next to Free Films, it has a new post. My Yahoo email programme is notoriously unreliable when it comes to receiving emails in time so I have never relied on it and gone to check FMUK instead. I'm not saying it's the ultimate solution but it works well for me (I actually find it easier) and could at least be an interim solution until we figure out what's going on. Sorry if that doesn't work for you, just trying to help.
